Alex Levin is a jazz pianist, composer, recording artist, producer and educator. As a leader, he has performed at New York Jazz clubs such as Night and Day, Detour, Kavehaz, and Rue B in the East Village, as well as clubs throughout the United States and Europe.
His music has been featured on Boston Public Radio, Georgia Public Radio, Cape May Jazz Radio, Belgian, Dutch, and Australian radio and at All About Jazz, a popular music website.
A sparkling, swinging band, his trio is available for bookings at clubs, private parties, corporate functions, weddings and receptions.
He is also available as a solo pianist, and he has performed in this capacity at The University Club, Alger House, The Harvard Club, The Williams Club, Columbia University, and in many hotels and private residences throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn, including The W Hotel, the Marriot, and the Hyatt Regency. He has performed for retail and corporate clients including FAO Schwartz, Movado Jewelers, and Lord and Taylor.
His CDs have garnered excellent reviews from such prominent jazz journals as Jazz Improv Magazine, Cadence Magazine, All About Jazz New York, Jazz Police, and ejazznews.com, as well as numerous accolades from jazz luminaries and fans.
